橋本佳子生長在歷史文化底蘊深厚的京都。她從小就對繪畫非常感興趣，高中開始專攻日本畫方向。學校畢業之後，她拜師辻本雅俊。這是一位開創了油畫技法與染布工藝相結合的現代和服染布手藝——「彩墨友禪」的大師。這段難得的經歷，不僅讓她在繪畫技術上得到了很大的鍛煉，更讓她對打破傳統有了新的思考和認知。
Yoshiko Hashimoto grew up in the richly historical city of Kyoto. She became interested in painting at a young age and focused on traditional Japanese painting in high school. After graduating, she became an apprentice to Masatoshi Tsujimoto, a master of a modern kimono dyeing technique called “ Colorful Ink Yuzen “ that combines oil painting and fabric dyeing. This rare experience not only honed her painting skills, but also gave her new perspectives and insights on breaking tradition.
